Maricopa, Arizona is a warm and welcoming town, ideally situated in Pinal County, just twenty miles south of the Ahwatukee Foothills of Phoenix, and twenty miles northeast of Casa Grande. The Arizona Republic estimated that before Maricopa’s incorporation, there were approximately 1,000 residents living in the area. By the first quarter of 2004, there were nearly 5,000 folks living in town. By 2005, Maricopa had over 15,000 residents, which swelled to around 21,000 by the early part of 2006. By many estimates, Maricopa will have a population exceeding 100,000 by the year 2011. This number is expected to double again by 2025, giving Maricopa a population of over 200,000.

The vision of Maricopa began in 1987 when a local real estate developer announced plans to create a master planned community named Rancho El Dorado. He enlisted the help of some of the nation’s most respected home builders to create over six thousand homes. A beautiful focal point of the community is a seven thousand-yard golf course designed by Dave Druzisky.
